How Tadabbur works

Tadabbur is a reflection aid. It puts you in front of the Qur'an with enough classical grounding to think. It does not issue rulings.

The Qur'an text is never generated

The Arabic and the translation come from the Quran.com corpus, not from a language model. If that text cannot be fetched, the verse is not shown at all. No verse is ever produced by AI.

Grounded in named classical tafsir

Research briefs reference al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir and al-Qurtubi. Links identify the source actually named in the reflection. A name alone does not verify an interpretation. The abridged English Ibn Kathir resource is not available for every verse; missing passages are not invented.

What is deliberately left out

Our editorial policy excludes israiliyyat reports and the movement corpus named in the source policy, and avoids creedal polemics on ambiguous attribute verses. Runtime retrieval uses permitted resources and the AI is instructed to omit excluded reports. These controls cannot guarantee every interpretation; drafts await scholar review.

What the certainty label means

A valid receipt may show an exact excerpt match. Matching text does not prove the AI interpretation is correct. Older reflections without a receipt remain unverified. Stronger citation labels require stronger checks.

A study aid, not a ruling

Nothing here is a fatwa or a legal verdict. Thematic studies are published marked as pending scholar review. For a ruling, ask a qualified scholar.
